Context

• You will be part of the IS Datacenter & Cloud Delivery Team, which is in charge of managing hosting Operations, Projects and Strategy for IT hosting needs on-prem, in central datacenters and in the Cloud.
• You arrive in a context of a highly visible transformation Program requiring strong skills and experiences in traditional Datacenter and in Cloud Operations.

Purpose

• The Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Expert supports as L3 Expert in executing, coordinating and supervising the hosting Infrastructure operations and execution of Projects for Nexans worldwide.
• She / he supports the Hybrid-Cloud Operations Manager and the Application Teams in the deployment of new hosting solutions on-prem, in central datacenters or in the cloud, their integration into the Nexans IT Infrastructure and their proper documentation
• She / he deploy new hyperconverged on-prem hosting solutions based on MS Azure Stack HCI, migrate applications or services from existing legacy hosting solutions to the new HCI hosting Infrastructure or deploy new applications or services on them and transfer their operations to the teams responsible for RUN.
• She / he contributes to the design, development and implementation of automated deployment and management processes to improve lead-time for delivery and the service availability for the business.

Areas of responsibility

• Operations & Support
  • Contribute to the design of global Standards (Windows Server Technology, Backups, DRP Solutions, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, MS Azure IaaS and PaaS,…) and ensure they are deployed
  • Support and manage the integration of new services and solutions by coordinating the activities with Nexans customers and Core IT service delivery providers.
  • Support and manage the migration of on-prem hosted applications or service to cloud-based hosting solutions
  • Provide 3rd level support for Incident and Change Management for the hosting infrastructure on-prem, in the datacenters and in the Cloud
  • Contribute to Major Incident resolution process, coordinating all stakeholders, ensuring processes are correctly followed and adequate communication with stakeholders and management is well performed, with the support of the area Incident Manager
  • Monitor and test Application Performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to automate and improve deployment processes, increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Identify, assess, implement and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies (Disaster Recovery Plans)
  • Supervise Patches deployment and upgrades and non-regression tests execution
  • Ensure that the services of his/her responsibility scope are delivered according to service levels and quality standards
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

  • Guarantee the respect of the cyber security principles defined and reports any abnormalities
  • Supports security by design principles and enhancements
  • Contribute to return on experience analysis with the aim of improve the hardening
  
  

Expected results

• Successful reduction of the on-prem hosted Applications and Services by the migration to the Cloud (MS Azure) and the associated automation
• Delivery of successful, efficient and proper documented integration of new services and solutions and their transfer for operations to the Run Team
• Support of the Run Team with the delivery of solutions for an increased automation of the complete asset lifecycle
• Modernization of the IT Hosting Infrastructure by replacing Legacy Systems and Solutions
• Successful migration from legacy on-prem Hosting Solutions to centrally managed hyperconverged hybrid-cloud solutions based on MS Azure Stack HCI
• Successful implementation of processes for MS Azure and on-prem Industrial Hosting Infrastructure Operations to automate the complete asset lifecycle
• Processes for the CMDB Management are in place and the CMDB is up to date

Required skills and qualifications

• Mandatory
  • Solid Cloud operations experience. Especially in MS Azure
  • Solid experience in hosting infrastructure operations
  • Solid experience in Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, MS Azure Stack HCI)
  • Excellent Scripting Skills (Advanced PowerShell, Terraform, …)
  • Technical Skills in Network, Windows & Linux OS, Database technologies (Oracle, MS SQL),
  • Experience in technical Project Management
  • Experience in coordinating tasks and activities in a team
  • Language skills: Fluent English, French

• Education:
  • Master’s degree preferred, below acceptable depending on experience and competencies
